Located at the very eastern part of the Dominican Republic island, in the province of La Altagracia, Punta Cana is a seaside resort renowned for its huge white sandy beaches and bustling night-life. For close to half a century now, it has been welcoming large numbers of holiday-makers who come to relax in the Ocean's turquoise waters. Its reputation and popularity truly boosted the province's activity, now generously adorned with large resorts and an international airport. The one in Hoyo Azul is particularly spectacular. Travelling a little further to the coastal town of Bayahibe, the most adventurous among you can embark on a boat trip around Saona island - the pearl of all Dominican islands.
