Information required

The authorities of certain countries require airline companies to provide information they have concerning passengers before departure. This requirement applies to all flights between metropolitan France and any destination outside the Schengen area*. Required information is listed on encoded passport areas:

  • Last name
  • First name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Passport number, issuing country and expiry date

In addition to this information, American authorities require that all individuals traveling to or from the United States, or connecting to a different flight within the U.S., provide their:

  • green card information, if applicable,
  • country of residence,
  • destination address, if visiting the United States**.
